Knowing how to cut your bangs can save you trips to the salon which can cost quite a bit especially when your bangs grow out so quickly. This article will show you how to cut your bangs in both the full and the side bangs style.
How to Cut Full Bangs
First, take a section of your hair in a manner that the base would be in the shape of a triangle. The top of the triangle should be at the center, pointing to the crown of your head. Tie up the rest of your hair so they won’t get in the way.
Next, use a brush to evenly distribute the sectioned hair. You can now cut straight from one side to another depending on where you want your full bangs to fall. A little above the eyes or right around the eyebrows is a good place to cut.
How to Cut Side Bangs
Proceed with the same first step of taking a section of hair that has a triangular base. Instead of brushing your hair down, take it to the opposite side of where you want your bangs to fall. If you want the final result to be on the left side, brush your uncut hair to the right at an angle which will be perpendicular to one of the legs of the triangular base.
Twist the section of slanted hair. A 180-degree twist should do it, and pin right below the twist to hold it in place. Use a long toothed hair pin for this. Angle your scissors in such a manner that would result in a cut which is perpendicular to the part of your hair which serves as its base.
Cutting at an angle where the tip of your scissors points to the corner of your eye is a good place. You can cut a bit farther out and adjust later on as you please.
